Kaiser Permanente's Get Fit Festival 2012

Walk. Run. Pedal. Party. On September 16, 2012 at Angel Stadium from 7a-5p, Kaiser Permanente hosts Get Fit Festival. This free event features a 5K Fun Run, Bike Tour, 50 Mile Relay and Fitness Expo.

London 2012 Olympics

While it feels like it was just yesterday we were in Beijing watching the 2008 Olympics, London 2012 is finally here! The Opening Ceremonies started with a bang and the Games of the 30th Olympiad have not looked back.

Hollywood Brazilian Film Festival

The 4th Annual Hollywood Brazilian Film Festival (HBRFest) is June 6 - 10 held at the Egyptian Theater. HBRFest showcases documentaries, short films and features by the best new talent of Brazil. Each and every film screened is a Los Angeles Premiere.

The OC Beer Fest

The annual OC Beer Fest is May 5 at Irvine Lake. This event features beers from all over the world and local food trucks. Tickets are $40 for General Admission and $50 for VIP (tickets will not be sold at the door). Go here for tickets.

Coachella 2012

Natural History Museum's First Fridays

The Natural History Museum is in the 2nd month of their annual First Fridays run (Jan 6-June 1). Once a month the museum features live music, tours and they stay open until 10p. First Fridays is designed for all ages and all levels of scientific curiosity.

OPA's Annual 4th of July Parade

Dust off those Red, White and Blues! It's time to join the Ocean Park Association's annual 4th of July Parade in Santa Monica. This year's theme is "4th of July on the Beach" to honor their Grand Marshals, The Ocean Lifeguards in the City of Santa Monica. The parade starts at 9:30am on Main Street at Pico Boulevard and runs south to Marine Way.

The Los Angeles Greek Film Festival Opens

Founded by Ersi Danou and Angeliki Giannakopoulos, the LAGFF brings new films from Greek filmmakers all over the world. The mission of the film festival is to promote Greek Cinema and bridge the gap between Greek filmmakers and Hollywood. Celebrating its fifth year, they present Orpheus Awards to the most outstanding new films in dramatic, documentary and shorts by filmmakers of Greek and Cyprus decent.

This year's LA Greek Film Festival is June 9-12, 2011.

Club Culinaire's 31st Annual Picnic des Chefs fundraiser will be held on Sunday, May 22nd. Enjoy food from gourmet chefs, wine from over 30 wineries and fun at the Vasa Park in Agoura Hills. Proceeds from the event benefit Concern Foundation and the Hope Program at Childrens Hospital.

TruckitFest

Phillip Dane is at it again. Starting with the Melrose Flea Market at Fairfax High School, he has successfully launched flea markets throughout the years and all over the Los Angeles landscape. And now he has re-imagined the flea market and fused vintage wears with tasty food trucks and live music. His new stage? None other than the iconic Union Station. The TruckitFest is the first Sunday of every month and includes the most popular food trucks.

Hope in the City: Inspire, Create, Change

Hope in the City is a charity fashion event organized by Mosaic. In its fourth year, Hope in the City benefits many organizations, including the Downtown Women's Center (a serveLA project). The event brings together fashion designers, models, make-up artists, hair artists and photographers all working together for this cause.

The Belasco Theater Opens its Doors Again

The Belasco Theater, complete with state-of-the-art lighting and D&B Audiotechnik Sound Systems (the largest in the area), is once again opening its storied doors. As is the tradition, the new year is a time for reflection and looking forward. 2010 was an amazing year for us at SJ Linking Systems as we met new Event Designers, Wedding Planners, Caterers, Security Teams and Nightclub Managers. LA Derby Dolls Championship Bout

Looking to shake things up a bit? How about an elbow to the throat by an LA Derby Doll? The LA Derby Dolls Championship Bout is set for December 4, 2010. The LA Derby Dolls are Southern California's premiere all-female, banked-track roller derby league. The league, founded in 2003 by Rebecca "Demolicious" Ninburg and Wendy "Thora Zeen" Templeton, has over 150 skaters and volunteers divided into five teams. For game rules (yep, elbows are not allowed) and play go here.

The Championship Bout will be the Tough Cookies vs The Swarm. Doors open at 6p and you must be 21 or older to enjoy.

JLLA - Harvest Boutique: Where Giving is Always in Style

The Harvest Boutique, the Junior League of Los Angeles' annual fundraiser, is set for Sunday, November 21. The event is a fun-filled day of shopping, a silent auction and a catered luncheon. The JLLA is an organization of women promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women and improving the community. Based in the Larchmont area of Los Angeles, their sole missions are education and charity.

Ride for a Cure (for Parkinson's)

Ride for a Cure will be held October 2, 2010 at Gibson Ranch, located in Sunland, California. This annual event was created to fundraise for philanthropic causes and more specifically Parkinsons. With many equestrian events held throughout the year, the Grand Finale is an amazing day-long celebration. Complete with mounted shooting, team roping, barrel races, trick roping, stunt shows, drill team events and games. A majority of the proceeds go to Michael J. Fox Association's Team Fox Challenge, which is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease.
